We are located in the heart of historic Weatherford, Texas, just one block from the courthouse square. Historically, the 1894 structure was a church for almost 90 years. This beautiful and traditional chapel has been the scene of weddings for generations of area residents. Brownstone Wedding Chapel is a 5000 square foot facility with a gorgeous and fully decorated auditorium. We offer elegant secluded dressing rooms for the bride and groom. A staircase descends from the bride’s private waiting area into the auditorium with its magnificent stained glass windows and solid stone walls. Formal wooden church pews, a center aisle and an altar in front of a large stained glass window complete the setting for your wedding.
In the “package” The ceremony cost is included in the package price. You will enjoy a full ceremony and rehearsal and as a bonus you will also receive all the ceremony options. The wedding is held in the 1894 sanctuary and includes lovely silk floral decorations; candelabra on the altar and in the windows, beautiful and traditional recorded wedding music, professional services of a wedding coordinator/planner, unlimited visits for planning, a rehearsal the week of the wedding. Also included is the use of the private dressing rooms for both the bride and the groom. We have a piano available for your use free of charge. There is no charge for using the facility for pre-wedding photographs or consultations with our coordinators or meetings with your wedding vendors. Wedding coordinators are present before, during, and after the rehearsal and the ceremony to make sure your day proceeds smoothly. We allow you to choose your own minister and photographer. Please remember to get your marriage license 72 hours in advance. We require a copy of the Texas marriage license on wedding day.
Also included in the “package” is The Ollie McDavid Reception Hall. The hall is on the premises and includes: guest tables and chairs with formal white table linens and silk floral centerpieces. You will have a cake table and a groom’s cake table. The buffet table and other service tables are beautifully completed with formal white linens, table skirts, and silk floral arrangements, all in neutral colors. We do all the decorating, setup, and cleanup of the hall. Staff members work during your reception to assist with a variety of tasks, such as cutting the wedding cake, serving the punch, tending to the buffet table, and clearing tables after your guests finish eating. You may select an outside caterer from our list of excellent companies or you may bring your own food, cake, and beverages from a commercial kitchen, such as a delicatessen or restaurant. You can bring your own disposable dishes or for your convenience you can purchase them from us. We have serving containers and chafing racks for rent. Alcohol is allowed for a small extra charge. Our professional reception coordinator will help you plan your reception and give you many tips for staying within budget.
